Please join us in congratulating James Gossard on his promotion to Director of Quality Assurance.

 

Previously PSI’s Quality Assurance Manager, James was promoted in January 2018 to Director of Quality Assurance. Well deserved, James has been with PSI since Summer of 1997, having held roles in Quality Assurance and Software Engineering.

As the Director of Quality Assurance, James is responsible for all aspects of assuring quality in technology based systems from an operations viewpoint, product functionality, and client projects perspective.

With a diverse background in many disciplines that include medical devices, telephony, process control, manufacturing systems, communications, test environments, critical systems, and business systems, James has provided quality assurance in all phases of systems engineering within the software development life cycle (SDLC). He provides clients with reliable systems that meet or exceed quality expectations, ensuring quality product for every project. Each project is developed to PSI Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to meet customer requirements and ISO standards.

James’ extensive background includes software engineering in multiple languages, Object Oriented Design (OOD), Object Oriented Programming (OOP), systems design, project management and documentation. His range of software systems knowledge includes but is not limited to: test management and engineering, PC Windows development, integration, embedded systems, real-time environments, networked systems, databases and process control systems.

Mr. Gossard has nearly 20 years of experience as a software engineering and quality assurance manager and is a certified ISO lead auditor in ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 13485:2016.  He is instrumental in PSI attaining ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 13485:2016 certifications.

FUN FACT: Outside of work, James enjoys flying model airplanes and competitive marksmanship.
