Rare Cell Detection and Analysis

RARE CELL DETECTION AND ANALYSIS

This microfluidic device is used to isolate circulating tumor cells from whole blood components. The system employs a PC-tablet interface communicating through serial communications to a microprocessor-based system, regulating applied pressure, actuator position, motor controls, and timers. Analog and digital sensor feedback are used to determine pressure, process state, and hardware positions. Software controlled safety interlocks protect the operator from exposure to biohazardous materials.

How PSI helped:

  • Verification testing for maintenance and updates
  • Performed requirements-based software verification testing
