Cell Growth Vaccine monitoring and control system
One of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world needed to design and develop a FDA regulated Varicella automation system to translate communications between pharmaceutical robotic carts used in vaccine manufacture and a digital control system (DCS). The system tracks carts on multiple ports as they move from room to room. In addition, it maintained the status of key information relaying commands from the DCS to carts and status of carts to the DCS system. PSI provided the overall design and development of this system and determined the best communication method between the two systems. As a result, an effective Varicella automation system was created and is currently in operation.
